What You’ll Need

  • Fresh lavender (for a longer-lasting scent) or dried lavender from a local store
  • A handkerchief or any breathable fabric (scrap fabric works too)
  • Scissors, needle, and thread
  • Optional: Dried rice (if you need extra filler)
  • Optional: Other dried herbs like rosemary for a unique touch

How to Make a Lavender Sachet

  1. Iron your handkerchief or fabric to smooth out any wrinkles.
  2. Fold the fabric in half, right sides together, and sew up two adjacent sides (leave one short side open). This creates a simple pouch.
  3. Turn it right side out and fill it with dried lavender, leaving about two inches at the top.
  4. Tie the open end tightly with a brightly colored ribbon, or sew it shut for a more finished look.
  5. Enjoy the calming scent in your drawers, pillows, or anywhere you need a little relaxation!

Either present the sachet as a gift or tuck it inside a sock or underpants drawer!
