Jason Mewes, a close friend of Ben Affleck, isn't buying into the speculation about Affleck's marriage to Jennifer Lopez falling apart. Based on what he's seen, he doubts the rumors are true.

We caught up with Jason in L.A. on Wednesday, and he shared that after witnessing the couple's genuine affection at their wedding less than two years ago, he would be shocked if there was any truth to the breakup rumors.

Jason voiced his frustration over people jumping to conclusions about a split, suggesting there’s likely a more practical explanation for Ben moving out of their home—probably related to work. He speculated that Ben might need some peace and quiet to focus on his new movie, away from the hustle and bustle of family life, or perhaps J.Lo isn't thrilled with Ben's film collaborators coming and going at their home.

While Jason admits he hasn't been in close contact with Ben since their wedding in 2022, he emphasizes that he's just offering possibilities, not facts.

Currently, Ben is renting a place in Brentwood, while Jennifer remains in their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion. The situation has been a bit of a rollercoaster, with Ben seen without his wedding band one day and wearing it the next. They even added to the confusion by stepping out for a family outing, only for Jennifer to attend the premiere of her new movie "Atlas" solo the next day.

Despite the separate living arrangements and mixed signals, Jason remains confident in their relationship, maintaining faith in their enduring love story.
